Believe in the Power of Prayer: Trouble Don’t Last Always

“For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in the time of need.”

Hebrews 4:15-16

Trouble won’t last always. When it surfaces, like Paul we should be driven to our knees in prayer, turning whatever it is over to God. This is not to say that we shouldn’t be praying daily, this is to say trouble should not make us run from God, or lose faith in his ability or willingness to save us. It should, in fact, move us to plant both feet firmly and stand our ground confessing and believing that God is already on top of it. We must begin to rest in faith when trouble tries to tell us to panic.

Most Gracious and Heavenly Father,

Lord, thank you. Thank you for your abundant love.
Thank you for your unending grace. Thank you for your faithfulness.
Thank you for your blessings and favor.
On this day, we release our burdens
and exchange them for your light and peaceful load.
We exchange our worries and anxiety for your rest.
We will be quick to listen and sure to obey when you tell us to move,
we will be sure to follow whenever and wherever you lead.
Please forgive us of our sins and help us to be more like you each day.

In Jesus Name, Amen.
